How early can I plant auto flower seeds outdoors?

Title says it all, I am in mid MI so I was thinking around May but I’ve read you can possibly get away with starting them earlier so you can get 2 harvests in one outdoor season. I’m also looking for good seed sources that ship within the US- I’ve had luck with Grower’s Choice company, but I’m looking for a better selection. Thanks a ton to this community, so far I’ve learned a lot and have been inspired countless times. Keep up the good work!

If You are outdoors just plant multiple strains/plants? So you have a selection come july/august you have a nice amount of flower.

We can have 12 legally, so that’s how many I’m going for at a time. Just wondering if anybody has squeezed in 2 harvests in a single outdoor season? I’m doing feminized at my place, this is for a friend’s plot who is new to growing.

1 crop from may 01 - jul 31st if need be, and another Aug 1st - end of october.. sounds doable.
