How far away I put a 250 watt hps from the tops

I got a 3 by 4 foot closet and 5 plants, is 250 enough for juicy buds?

any help??? i am going to start budding soon so i need help

If all five are female that will be one seriously cramped room. Yeah, a 250 would definitely work in a small closet like that... 400 would get something closer to those "juicy buds" you're looking for.

Probably want to keep an HPS bulb of 250 or more 18-24 inches away from the tops at least. Good Luck, hope that helped some.

A good way to gauge how far you need a light from the top of you're plants is put your hand at the top of the plants, if its uncomfortable to keep you're hand there then you're light is too low, adjust light until light just warms you're hand nicely.

Mine is about 6 inches away. I recommend you don't go further than about 16 inches away from any plant top with a 250, or it becomes useless, in terms of light output.
