How high should my lights be form my plants?

depends on the light and ventilation. If you are using fluoroescent or CFl, then 1" away is fine. If using HID lighting (HPS , MH) then adjust light so that hand when held at top of plant does not get hot from light. adjust light down until you start to feel the heat on back of hand, then just adjust upwards a couple inches and it should be fine.

depends on what type of lightyour using?
if using cfl 1-3 inches above your plant.
if using hid put your hand above your plant if its too hot for your hand move the lights up till its comforable for your hand. repeat as needed. ie as your plant grows. don't let your plant grow into the cfl light it will burn it
