How keep plant watered while out of town?

I have a plant flowering at about 2 or 3 weeks in a 1gal pot of equal parts Compost/Aeration/Peatmoss and amendments all organic. It’s underneath a 50watt qb and 2 40watt (at the wall) UFO LED’s. It’s a male if your curious. I popped all 6 of 9lb hammer from Jinxproof and ended keeping 5 and throwing the other out. Turns out all 5 were male, so I took the best looking one and I’m going to make seeds.
Anyways I’m going out of town for 3 days and I don’t have anyone to help water it. What would you suggest? It needs a water everyday with that set up. I was thinking of going down to one UFO light so it doesn’t drink as much water and stick a wine bottle full of water in the soil. Or if worst comes to worse, put it in my bedroom and have the natural light keep it going.

whatdya got?

I would very much suggest you look into the very easy yet amazing world of SIPs (sub irrigated planters)! They are amazing and can have ZERO moving parts to fail while you are away.. no nutes needed... just get your environments dialed in and add water and you can have very dank buds!

also .. um your plant is not flowering.. it is a dude my dude... sorry to say

I would transplant into a larger container. You would have zero problems if you're only gone for 3 days. If you're in coco, just transplant into soil and water well. The sips mentioned above is a great idea if you're at a spot you can only visit every week, even every two weeks.

I'd re pot to a 3 gallon and water well before leaving. It's not like your flowering females and worried about yield. It might slow it down some but you will still get plenty of pollen.

I gotta automate I've only been away from my garden twice in 3-4 years and that was just over night both times. And I was buying a house in a new state. Lol

I wish I could go on vacation, or even just a long weekend away. I love gardening but having to be home every night to garden is a pain in the ass. Still better than working for someone else though.

So many balls on that plant. This must be a joke thread. :wall:

Yes I have definitely thought and looked into it. I wanted to get soil down first. Not too mention it’s taken a while to get use to HLG Quantum Boards. Ya know maybe I’ll do it on my next grow. I also don’t have much growing room which is a concern

I am moving to trying all 5 gallon bucket sip runs. Little floor space easy to move around if needed. I do have some 18 gallon as well but once full of water and soil and plant they are a pain to move around and they do take about a good amount of area. But they are the most care free way of growing i have found so far! You can almost ron po peel that shit.... "set it and forget it!" Check out the sub irrigated planter thread on here it has a ton of info ... even if it is mostly dead atm

I recently went to Florida for about 4 days.
I'm in coco
This is what I did...
Took a 10 gal container with lid (light proof)
Mixed up nutes with ph bal water..
Threw a small water pump (1gpm-small) connected to a timer that would go off for 2 mins everyday.
I have a water heater pan catching the runoff.
With the 10 gal I can get by 5-6 days away
More time and I'd need to get a bigger container for the water.
Fairly cheap considering I had everything I needed before I took the trip
(Except for the 30$ water heater drain pan)
I closed the drain hole on the pan too. Sure I'd hold over 15-20 gallons of runoff.

Submersible pump in reservoir on a timer is definitely the way to go. Even when you aren’t out of town. Makes life much easier then hand-watering.

Grab some PVC or Poly tubing, drip manifolds, and micro tubing and you are set.
