How long before plant continues growing - Transplant

Hi Guys,

I transplanted my rootbound fems from like 1 L Containers to much bigger 10 L Containers.

How long should it take for them to root the containers and resume growth?
Its been almost 2 weeks and im seeing roots pop out the sides of the Smart Pots
But the plants themselves have not gotten any bigger.

I guess the new containers are like 10x bigger...
So i expect a stall. but how much longer?

2 weeks is quite the wait.

Whats your grow enviroment like, lights, temps, nutes etc. Are you seeing absolutely no upper growth or is it minimal. A lot of energy will be put into new roots but shouldnt take 2 weeks unless other stressers like topping. Also if you grew too long in the1L and your plants became rootbound when you transplant you want to massage (some people like old med hser cut off the bottom root tips) the roots.

In 2 weeks im seeing minimal upper growth.
I did Top the one plant when i transplanted.
Also - i never fluffed the roots and they where Rootbound.

One of my plants had to be topped at the second node due to abnormal growth, the top produced 3 fan leaves instead of new node growth. It took that plant two weeks to recover I dubbed it "Not gunna make er" and it currently 6 weeks later is the largest and strongest plant I have.

Bring your heat up a bit 21c is quite low and drop that humidity down to about 55-65% you're very high. You want about 24 - 28c for veg, 22- 26 c for flower. 55-65% for veg, and slowly dropping lower and lower during flower. (ending point depends on preference but a good bunch say keep it around 40-45% anything higher can cause mold.

It also seems that your pots are already too small for your plants, a rule of thumb to go by is your roots want to spread out about the width of your plant.

Also what type of light are you growing under and how close is it?
You seem to have some light penetration or N deficiency going on.

its coco coir. my plants usually get fucking massive and i can easily pull over 100 grams dry in a 10litre smart pot.
in this veg room im using a 70w quantum board meanwell drivers.

its not the pot size thats an issue. this isnt soil. i know this because iv been growing massive plants for the last 2 years in these exact pots with coco and perlite.

This was grown in that same 10 litre smart pot. I doubt I need bigger pots cos I have limited space. I do have a 80x80cm tent but that's only good for 3 gallon pots or the plants get ridiculous

But all the other factors you mention are defitely right and I have no idea how to Co trol humidity or Temps on a budget.

will CFL's raise or lower the humidity?
i have a fitting i made that houses 5 x 20w cfls that i can use.

Wont affect humidity at all I got 8 20 watters in my room doesn't affect humidity or temp one little bit

edit: oh shit sorry NTG I didn't see you're post, really like I said mine dont affect either at all

Raising the heat can inturn lower the humidity. In my room I grow kale and flowers as well outside of the tent and when humidity is high and temp get low I turn on 3 27W T5's but I have in the past turned on 6 x 23W or 27CFL

edit: When turning on the 3 in two different locations T5's the temp of the room raises by about 1 degree and the humidity usually drops about 5% inside my tent about 10% directly under the lights.

My other types of plants grow about 3 feet away on the other side of the room.
I exhaust everything outside and usually raise the humidity artifically all day
On rainy days is when I need to turn on the other lights as the humidity raises too much and temps drop a fair bit.

I find it much cheaper to turn on 27 - 200W of lights for heat control than to use a space heater.

So looking at my plants today they have gained quite a bit of size.
I did nothing except water them over the weekend.

I think they had just stalled out for a couple of reasons.
But now they are chugging again and putting on size the way id expect!
That took 2+ full weeks, give or take a day or two.

Basically - patience won the war, Because i did literally nothing. I just let them be.

Gonna give them the rest of the week in the Veg room to get some size and then its off to the flowering room.

glad its working out. Mine just hit week 9 in veg, few more inches til I flip
