How Long do you Veg?

Im curious on to how long everyone vegs there plants and what kind of yield you receive from it

Indoors in soil about a month is all ya wannt go.
Hydro will get there in a couple weeks.

You dont want your plants too tall. If you want to increase yield look into using a screen to bend the plants in veg and create a level canopy. SCROG

Indoors in hydro gets to the punch much faster.

Me, I've completely lost patience. Resorted to 12/12 as early as possible even from the start, unless of course I'm already growing an auto-flower.

It differs,in terms of space you got,lights,etc..I think the biggest indoors would be like 5 FT. max.

i veg for 8 weeks, since i got a flowering room (which takes 8 weeks to finish) and a veg room. in that 8 weeks i top them fim and end up with over 8 main colars, its probably an over kill but really impressive to look at.

first time around i vegged for three weeks but i think it was that long because i had to find out if the were fem. three weeks from clones i should add was roughly a week aftar i cloned them i stuck them into a 6 incher and then moved one into the flowering room let me tell you the difference i noticed the one with less veg time grew about 1 and a 1/2 feet tall but was almost completely one bud the ones i stuck in after i found out that they were female all grew between two and 2 1/2 feet tall . but on my next grow i think i have been vegging for well over a monthe and lsting at the same time which i will fimm soon since i only have like 3 4 days left till first ever batch is ready(i cant wait)i have a journal with my next opp in my sig. but they have also vegged for about two week before that first post in my journal , due to it being a bit cold i think i slowed them down tremendously (either that or lack of nourishment) but in the last two weeks they have been really booming but thats when i switched to an a&b formula with a product called zenzyme (a tonic solution) which i think really does wonders for your roots and the progression of your plants helps creat micro thingys in the soil cheers and gud luck on your harvest

i like to get my clones up to 4-6 nodes tall b4 i flower. which puts my plants up around 24 inchs tall finished out, i also cut off all secondary branchs so i can keep my plants pot to pot under my lights, so i can maximize my grow room space.

im with leeroy i like my plants to have 4-5 nice tops on them before i start to flower 6-8 weeks from clone depending on strain. id like to experiment with different types of scrog to maximize my new 1k watt i might start them at 6 weeks and see what happens. im starting to think less plants is better easier to focus on a few and really take care of em. not to mention save a bit of cash

why would u want to have heaps of tiny little plants when u can jsut grow a couple of monsters veg abit longer FIM and top to get your colars, u get, i can produce the same amount of weed as someone growing 20-30 plants and if the cops come knocking i only got a coulpe plants so its not that big of a deal compared to SOG. this pic i just switch to 12/12 there are 2 of these in a 12ft by 12ft bedroom, but the time there finished the room will be full. im not trying to brag i just dont see the point in little veg time and heaps of plants under 1 light.

i agree with leeroy slim as ive grew 20 plants and got 24oz ,
Now my last grow was 11 plants and got just over 20 oz dry. This grow that ive just started last week im only doing 6 plants and im hoping to get at least 15 oz . When i was getting 20-24 oz that was under a 1000w lamp but now im using 2 , 250 w hps lamps so not really sure what to expect off these lamps but 12 oz sounds reaslitic to me .

I Veg for the bare minimum of 3 weeks from sprout, they usally have 3-4 nodes and are 5-6 inches tall by the time I flip to 12/12 at the start of week 4, and they usually stand around 3ft tall by the end of flowering. I average around 2 1/2oz's a plant, growing Power Kush, which is a pretty vigorous and fast growing plant.

Like everybody has said before...lots of diff factors (size of grow room etc)

I like 4/5 weeks veg under MH...I also top my plants since I had such good results before (do this 1 week before flower)

However, I do want to try a totally diff method...instead of 16 plants vegged for 4 weeks...how about 50 plants vegged for 2 weeks?

thats the beauty of indoor growing.. you control everything... i usually go about 40-45 days in soil.... but you can veg for really as long as you want till you feel their ready, just keep those nodes close

Why not grow the ladies as big as your room/lights can handle. Specially if you are legal and only allowed six plants. It just sucks to wait. On a good note while your waiting make good time to improve your grow room.
