how long does a clone take to root

i took 3 clones with low expectations (sorry no pics) in did not us any kind of root enducing hormone just cut it and put it into soil just to see if it would grow one died in 2 days another now has wilted leaves but the stem is still practically strait up and the third has not wilted or discolored at all they are 5 days in does it sound like my third on will make it?

ps i know to use rooting gels and shit i was just curious if it could be done without it

if done right. it usually takes 4-5 days to root. cell division starts at day 6. root hormone will help alot and will induce growth faster. remember to keep soil moist but not too wet. right after cliping a clone it should right away be transferred into a glass of water to stop air or disease from entering the stem. also a good method is to take a sharp clean razor and "splice" the end of the stem in half about 1cm or less. sounds like you must have done something wrong. but also they can take up to a week to grow roots. hope this helped. good luck :leaf:

usually i can see roots within a couple weeks, some take a week, some a couple weeks

i didnt try the slit next time i will but it sounds like my third on will be just fine then today is day 6 and it still looks like its on the mother
