how long should i let the tap root get b4 i put the seed in soil?
Haha good luck with that, document some results (if you feel like it) because new information is always valuable..ya i had a few just randomly pop threw b4 im doing a experment i have 5 going in a half inch deep dirt 1 inch 1.5 inch 2 inch and a 2.5 to see the hight diffrence in them im just messin around with em half are going 18/6 and the other are going full 12/12 just to see what happens lol
Directly in soil just the way nature intended. Make a hole with a pencil or pen one inch deep, plant, cover with soil and water. Why add a bunch of extra steps, and unneeded stress to the plant ?
I know a lot of people like the paper towel method but the only reason I see for it is so you can see something happening, some will say it is so you can sort out the ones that don't germ, but I think you'd kill at least that many by handling them so much. If you buy quality seeds how many don't break soil anyhow ?
I guess you'll do as you want but I think the best way is to plant it right in the soil, the way it was done before paper towels.
