How long to veg

Ok so i have one girl that is three weeks old and i was curious on how tall i should let her get in veg if i am trying to get her to about 4.5-5 ft tall at the end of flowering. shes a northern lights fem vision brand. I am hoping for 4-6 oz but i know there is no way to tell the yeild before harvest.

It depends, pictures would be VERY helpful in this situation. Plan on the plant at least doubling, if not tripling, in size. I don't think northern lights is a stretchy strain, but I've never personally grown it.

Damn, I can't even see the container. Do you have it all tied/bent down/trained? That looks like a pretty big plant.

northen lights is a bit of a pooy strain not haven a crack just i have some seed grew it twice and i wasent really impressed i just crossed breaded em with some og then again with some bubba now its look ok

I'm not training the plant at all just letting it grow naturally so one massive cola and a few smaller bud sites were ever they pop up also growing in soil under a 400w mh till flowering time then 400w hps and possibly a 90w ufo led to help increase the growth rate and production.

Remember, only the most powerful lights can penetrate 4' down. Depending on your light source, 4'+ might be counter production...unless your growing outside?

Give the op your experience with the stretch of northern lights. I've had some BOMB northern lights, a buddy ran that exclusively for a few years and we found a proper cure does wonders for this strain.

just the rate of growth and also the way she smoked up just dident impress me that much that why i muted my one to come out super dooper

I find anyting over 4' indoors is kidna a pain in the arse and the light doesn't penetrate down that far so I end up cutting some lower branches off or getting a bunch of larf-I prefer the former. So when I grow them too big I always feel like I just wasted time in veg. That's my experience/feeling anyway. Outdoors is obviously a different story.

outdoors yeah deff i solved my lower branch prob buy going 2 600w hps on top and i run 2 3 bulb t5 56 watt and i lay them on the floor my lower buds look like my top colas the plant bulks right up 360 all over the plant as u can see by that little one that look likes its on steroids

Yeah, but approximately how much did she stretch? Would you say the op needs to plan for a doubling or tripling in size? My Jack(rare indica pheno) barely stretches at all while my bubba og doubles and my headband nearly triples. Northern Lights is one of the most stable strains on the planet, your experience should be very similar to his.
