Going to start cloning . Maybe about 20. What would be the maximum to fit a 4x4 tent
I can fit 9 in just under 5sqft so you can triple that and have room for a flood tray if you’re using one. I would hope you were using one with that many plants. I’m hoping to still have 6 by the time I go in my 4x4. I’m going up to 3gal tho. F1D38C24-A818-43B9-87E5-D2A06B6E6F7C.jpeg

I’ve had 12 finish in 1 gals in a 4x4, 2week veg 1-2oz/plant was hoping for 15 but reg seeds and a few males. Could’ve handled 15, 16 if I used a clip fan but I keep an oscillating tower fan in the corner and 1 plant/sqft is pretty standard practice for sog

I bought 25 9L square pots to replace the round ones about the same size because they fit in a 5x5 block in a 4x4' space with a couple inches to spare all around just to do a SoG like you are planning. I plan to make a frame with 1x4s and lined with panda film to mass water them by just dumping the nutes in the pool and letting them suck it up. Shop vac to take out any excess but it doesn't take much to figure out how much is needed for a full watering just enough to leave the surface of the pots a bit dry

No topping and pruning back side branches at two nodes to hopefully have each one grow like one big phat cola about 18" long. A nice indica with tight nodes should work well and I have many candidates. Would be a good grow to do with S1 fem seeds I'm in the process of making to see how they actually work out.

Stick a 600W Hortilux over them and Bob's yer uncle. :)

16 or so but why not just do like 4 x 5 gallon pots?
They're asking about SOG "Sea of Green". Four 5 gallon pots is not SOG.

The answer to the question is 1 plant per square ft is standard. Which would be 16 as @hotrodharley already stated.

Edit for addition:

The reason for growing SOG is because it's a quick high yielding method of growing. It doesn't take weeks to veg out a plant and with more plants grown faster you can get the same yield as four 5 gallon pots in a shorter amount of time.
