How many grams of tobacco in a single cigarette?

I am curious, that's all. I'll bet it's at least a gram. I don't smoke them so I can't do the experiment, myself, to confirm that suspicion.

Just think about that for a second....A pack-a-day smoker, inhales ~20 grams. My Dad smoked 3 packs of Camels a day, in his prime! No surprise he died young from....you guessed it -a heart attack.

Anyone willing to weigh one out for me?

Thanks

Thanks!

Ok...So, based on a gram per cigarette, my Dad smoked three packs a day....which amounts to ~2.14 ounces per day...which equates to ~15 ounces per week.....wow...He smoked almost a pound per week!!

EDIT: That means that, at ~$10 per pack (by TODAY'S prices), he would have had to spend $30 per day....and $210 per week to maintain that habit!

EDIT: I smoke ~$50 per week on marijuana....That means that my Dad, (who was vehemently against "drugs") was a terribly-addicted drug addict by comparison! Ironic!

I say bullshit it's a trick question. The question was, grams of tobacco per cig . And there's no way the contents of a cig is pure tobacco so remove the fillers and how much is left over, probably not much.

I don't smoke but I wanted to be an asshole and fuck with everyone so.

Edit: the tobacco might be the safest part of the cig , who knows what the fillers and flavor additives are.

I don't think the poison in cigarettes has to do with the other poisonous chemicals they put into it. I have heard those stories, too...I have a buddy who smokes American Spirits.....blah, blah, blah....The real poison is the nicotine.

Here's what an initial search got me:

"Nicotine, the addictive ingredient in cigarettes, can be quite a lethal compound. It's widely recognized to be deadly at doses between 30 and 60 milligrams, making it more dangerous than both arsenic and cyanide."

Damn, my bad.

I have a friend who was trying to quit smoking ,he was wearing one of those patches and then he broke his leg so he's laying round and gets board started smoking cigs on top of the patches and f...ing over doses , got a ride to the hospital , Dr said he almost killed himself . I think he actually had a heart attach.

I use nicotine as an insecticide, get a pouch of the cheapest tobacco you can find (ain't so cheap anymore), boil it up in a gallon of water for around 15 min, cool and filter. Wear gloves. It's good for around a week at room/ambient temp. Freeze what you don't use

I roll joints the size of a cigarette, machine rolled, right around 0.7gs every time. I don't see how there's a similar amount of tobacco in a cigarette, given the filter size and the fact they aren't packed as tight. I woulda guessed around .3-.5gs. Someone break one open and actually weigh it.
