I know it appears wrong forum...

I want to veg 97 clones inside till April then plant outside.

How many and what kind of lighting will make these clones 3 to 4 foot tall?

Lmao you will need alot of light if you want 4 foot tall clones for planting. If you skimp on the light the plants will be weak and they will bust and fall over in the wind and die. So you have to grow the plants very robust with alot of light and space so they will be strong enough to stand 4 feet tall when you put them out. Maybe 9 clones per 600 watt light. So about 7 thousand watts. Or you could do the same number of small rooted clones under 1 600 watt light. And spend your time prepping the homes for the plants instead of setting up a 7k watt veg area.

Right now I have 6000 watts but its those cool tubes that stand floor to ceiling.
I had been thinking of using my ballasts and buying cheaper hoods and popping out my lights and putting inside 6 cheap hoods.

I think a guy has hoods used for about $75 each and there cheaper ones new for $50 with no cooling system.

Kind of thinking out loud but ill shoot for 7K for a veg room (Veg room is 500sf)

about 1000w. I wouldnt veg till 4ft its too hard to transport out there and too risky. Start a bit later and put them out in late spring at about 1-2 ft.
