how many plants and how big should i veg?

i am finishing my first grow 25 plants did great want to go more plants so i can fill a 6x4 tray . next time i was gonna veg 2 ft because i thought bigger plant bigger yield my room would allow them to get 4 ft if they needed they are in rockwool in hydroton in 6 inch baskets

how many plants i should grow this next time?

just thought i would answer my own question in case anyone came across this looking for the same answer i vegged big (crowded) and wasn't happy with what i got and also put 88 in a tray same thing i thought the more the better i was wrong both times hurt the yield 88 under a 1k got 8 oz got a pound first time with just 24 and when i grew them 5 Ft tall the tops were nice there was a bunch of smaller shit on the lower branches at this point (have been doing it for a year) all the things people were saying about making them happy was right instead i went with more is better and me being greedy cost me they need their own space and their fair share of light use what you have to create a good environment but i am no expert
