How many seeds per pistil?

I have some autos i am doing a seed run with, the male just dumped his first pollen sacs, i used a q-tip to wipe it up with then used the q-tip to wipe across the pistils of the female, there aren't many pistils on the female yet, and I was wondering if i will get only 1 seed per pollinated pistil or if more seeds will form per pistil?

Also, where on the pistil should i aim? Does the pollen have to be applied to the very tip or can it be applied anywhere on the pistil?

One pistol,one calyx,one seed.AS the pistol recedes into the calyx the dna is combined for single seed production.
The better the pistol is dusted,the more chance the surrounding calyx custers get pollenated.

At most one seed per pistil. (You can still get zero!).

I don't really know the answer here, but my GUESS is anywhere on the pistil is probably OK. Most people just "paint" up and down the pistils with a Q-tip or smal paint brush.

In practice, each pistil is probably going to be hit with dozens (if not more) individual pollen grains, with only one ending up fertilizing it, so it probably doesn't matter.

thanks for the info. i want alot of seeds so i will keep the male going and pollinate more pistils as they emerge. the male i selected gave me an incredible buzz that lasted from 11 am to 5 pm when i ate dinner. I smoked only 6 small fan leaves, the other male i had the high lasted about 2 hours off 6 fan leaves, so i killed that one and am using the 1st one to make my seed run....

i worded it weirdly, fixed it by editing. What i meant is that i smoked 6 of the fan leaves and i was high until i ate dinner at 5 pm. smoking the males leaves is how i judge which male to use as a breeder. the one that gets me highest for longest is the one i pollinate the females with.

I wish my tolerance was low enough right now to be able to judge by the fan leaves!

Some claim that it's best to tap the pollen applicator above the bud to send a little puff of pollen drifting down, rather than wiping it on directly, because the pistils are delicate and can be killed rather than pollinated by wiping. I don't know if it's really true, though, I'm sure you will get some amount of pollination either way.

theirs actuall a better way now a days you can get dutch masters reverse or whatever its called and spray it on a male clone to make it produce female flowers. this will make it much easier to pick between best smelling, potency, color etc.. another good way is to collect pollen in bags put them over a single branch and you can test plenty of males on one female that way.

hey, THERE'S a really cool way to test a male, just see what it does without any other genes. i'd only do that on clones though and destroy them when they're done so as not to start a line of hermies. if you can flip a female, you can do the same with a male too... huh... so obvious!
