How long does it usually take a plant to get going full-steam again, after topping/fim-ing/etc., in comparison to just allowing the plant to do its own thing and grow according to its genetics? I realize it will vary from plant-to-plant, but I'm just looking for a ballpark generalization. I'm guessing it might take a full week for the plant to get up to speed. I want more bud sites and I have space limitations, so I train the plants....but every time I do something, the plant seems to want to heal itself and reset -which adds time the grow. I think topping probably probably takes the most time for recovery, so I usually only top once and then bend the branches thereafter.
Let's say I have two plants....One I will manifold. The other, I will let grow "au natural". How much time will it take to get a proper manifold going compared to the other plant?
What has your experience been in this regard? Thanks
