How much direct sunlight does a plant need to thrive and grow. There is this ledge on my balcony so it cant get direct sunlight all the time.

atleast 12 to 14 hours will work good.

at least 6-8 hrs of direct sunlight will keep her happy!

Yeah that's not true, even if your plants not in direct sun it's still getting light.

I have had decent luck with 3 hours of direct sunlight when they had good bright light the rest of the day. I hope this helps, but you need more than 3 to really make them thrive but it is still better than buying if you can settle for a little less yield. Good Luck
