How much does good genetics have to do with results?

Just wondering on how much do good genes come in to play ? Can you have a good grow with strong genes and not all kinds of nutrients? Just curious

All plants require the same elements/nutrients, just in differing amounts from one another (Three elements, Carbon, Oxygen, Hydrogen and 14 nutrients including three primary macronutrients (NPK), three secondary macronutrients (Calcium, Magnesium and Sulphur) and eight micronutrients. A macronutrient is a nutrient that the plant uses large quantities of, whereas a micronutrient is only used in trace amounts.

Genetics may play a small part on whether they need more or less of specific nutrients, but they all need the same nutrients nonetheless. This isn't just for cannabis, either.

You can have a spectacular grow with good genetics and just base nutrients. However, all the nutrients in the world will not give you a spectacular grow if you have crap genetics. Despite the fact that cannabis specific nutrients dominate the cannabis growing industry they are overrated, overpriced, and unneeded. You can grow great weed with good genetics and cheap nutrients. You can spend all the money you want but you'll never make crap genetics better with expensive nutrients.

If you want to maximize your grow and have great yields with healthy plants from start to finish ignore the cannabis specific nutrient marketing nonsense and just get yourself a basic inexpensive balanced nutrient and call it a day. Playing chemist with a dozen bottles of watered down elements is ridiculous and a waste of time and money.
