How much light for my bonsai mums

Can I get by using 10w cfls? I am going to keep them as short and small as possible. I would like to keep 3 or 4 mums. would 1 10w cfl per mum be good enough to keep them producing cuttings? The biggest tube light I could get would be 12" and they come in at 8w per and are more of a pain.

LOL The forum defender has arrived! People like you always show up to defend but never come with advice... Its always the same go look at the faq bs. I checked the faq. It doesnt have the info im looking for. My marijuana making machine is small and I am looking for specific advice from people that grow like I do...

Whats an acceptable rate? I need 2 good clones about once a year from each mum. Just to clear up any confusion. I was asking if 10w per mum would be good. so 40 watts in a .79' space

don't worry about him ... he's one of those god's gifts to pot growing


just use a couple CFL's man they are cheap ... and 2 42watt bulbs per plant will produce plenty of clones if you only need a couple a year

Thanks jwop. The plan on my mother chamber is to be about 12" tall 10"w. The 42w are to big. Thats why I was wonder about using the much smaller 10w. My walmart sells a new "smaller size" cfl the 10w is about 3". I could line the top of the chamber with them... lol But was hoping to get by with less.

Turn the CFL sideways not straight down and even a 42watt would only be about 3 inches. Not to mention that more lumens are visible when the bulb is horizontal not vertical as it's a larger surface area.

Also you really need to chill out. This place is about giving and receiving help when possible and sometimes it just doesn't happen. No reason to get your panties up in a bunch.
