How Much Lime?

I finally got some lime from the grow store, but I lost the instructions, and I'm not sure how much to use.

Is it always a set amount, or does it vary under this or that condition?

I just toss in a few small handfuls for about 3 gallons of soil.

The deal is, too much in theory can be bad for your plant.. if it was going to live longer than a few months in that pot. Lime doesn't really start breaking down till about the time the plant starts to die, so overdoing it is pretty hard to do.

That's just me, everyone else's own mileage may vary.

common rule is one tablespoon of LIME per one gallon dirt. It will take a while to become avaiable to the plant. You dont have to worry about the PH thing in the dirt medium.

happy gardening !
