How much longer till Harvest?

Allright. I need some help from the rollitup community. I have a plant "Mr. Clean":leaf: an Indica(60%) dominant strain. I vegged the girl under 250wmh for 6weeks. On jan.5 I began 12/12. So today is day 32 of flowering under a 400whps. I have two grow rooms. My issue is I have been told to stop watering 5-7days before u harvest plus it has a darkout period to go through(48-72hours). Now I know I have at least a week maybe more. The fan leaves are starting to turn yellow. Yellow like it's getting to much water. She is in a 5 gallon container, but I am almost sure it is root bound on the bottom. Not much water drains out when watering and it used too. I have like 8 colas that are over 6" long and 1 that is almost a foot long. Now when I look at the trichomes, I use a 12megapixel camera, down load it to the computer and use the zoom that way. I see a few amber crystals but not many. Please take this into consideration, I am not a Mad Scientist:-P, I am a first time grower who is retired and learning a new hobby. Right now I need the basics if u get all complicated on me my eyes will glaze over even worse.

Well if you agree with Johnyquest, then you already have your answer :P

but seriously, I wouldn't even dare giving it the chop before at least another 2 weeks, and that's a very conservative estimate. :)

yup, 3 weeks minimum. Also, water doesn't cause yellowing. Your problem with yellowing is likely a deficiency or possibly a lock out. Also, you might have a good sized root mass, but it's unlikely that you are truly root bound in a 5 gallon pot after just a couple of months. I can complete a harvest in a 2 gallon without getting root bound.

The whole point is to have a friendly conversation and listen to everyone's opinion. I don't always believe the first thing I am told, but if 4 or 5 people agree w/him then I geuss i get the point. Although, my buddy came over today and he said 4 weeks that why I agreed with jonny. I would like to know wat lock out is or what kind of defiency u think it might be. I always use exactly what it requires or a little less, like 3/4 of a teaspoon/gallon. My friend did say that yellowing of the leaves is common, there's no wilting. Came to the determination that the plant is drawing so much energy to flower that it is draining the fan leaves or preventing nutes from getting to the fan leaves.. The leaves on the cola and upper fan leaves are still a good green color. Come on i wanna know wat people think about my colas?

Unless you turn the hps off and take pics with a flash or some other natural looking lighting it's hard for us to see what the "yellowing" looks like. Yellowing is most commonly a N deficiency, but could be many things. Lock out happens when you either have excess of one nutrient or your ph is way off. In those cases, even though you are giving the plant plenty of nutes, they can't absorb them properly (they are "locked out").

Yes, a little yellowing is normal in late flowering, as particularly starting with the lower leaves first. If it's affecting the upper leaves first, it's not normal. Also, usually yellowing happens after week 4 of flowering or later. You say that you're giving the plant exactly what it requires, but if it's not growing properly if's obviously not the case. Remember, you can't simply read a label of miracle grow, and think you're good.

Everything u said is perfect for the way my plant is acting, that is the yellowing ais at the bottom and the top rocks. Yea I know u can't see the yellowing. Now my ph is 6.3. I am on well water. In other words I have god's water. This shit is awsome comes down from the Cascades here in Wa. State and takes a 1000years to filter. It's fucking awsome. Oh PJ I said i was in week 5 of flowering and I use Adv. Nutes. Sensi-Grow and Sensi-Bloom. So I would conclude the yellowing of my leaves is normal. Hell ya. I can't wait to smoke out all my homies.lol

I still think it's root bound. Water no longer drains out. Plus when u go to flower, you give it more phophorous and less nitro. If it is root bound and I am 3 weeks away from harvest, what should I do.
