Day 70 of 12/12. sure would like to smoke the thing, but she doesn't look done. How much longer ya reckon?

Looks like you are in the harvest window. I would snip a piece and try it out. No more than a week I'd say from those pics.

Good news! Sooner than I imagined. I snipped a couple of nugs last night

this could be true. I have trouble understanding how to fertigate peat. it was backed up with salts for a bit causing a lot of burn, EC was like 3.5 and I flushed with 1.2ec until it came down. Maybe due for another flush?

You've still got a few weeks before it's ripe. If you really can't wait, then yeah just snip off a small nug, let it dry, and see how you like it. But be aware, you will like it more if you let it ripen another few weeks...
