Hi guy's I've been running a 1000w Mh 12/12 for about a year now and my average power consuption is about 1000kwh a month for my whole household for a bill of about $160 this is with other charges such as water, water heater etc... What I want to do is run another 1000w MH oppiste the one I have already do you think this will be to much. If you don't mind me asking whats your average kwh consumption a month, I live in Canada and power is pretty cheap .059 cents per kwh so money isn't the issue its the fuzz! So what do you think is it to much let me no guy's I want to start in the next few weeks! Thanks and any and all help appreciated.

i dont think that would be too much at all, if you wanted to add another one you might be getting close. a 1000w sould take up about 30$ a month, so 2 would be 60.

i would go for a 1000w hps, just in case you ever feel like setting up a prepetual grow. keep moms and clones under the mh and flowering clones under the hps.
good way to cut the total crop time in half.

Thanks for the quick response, I would buy a HPS but I got 2 1000w MH systems free from work:clap: so I just use the Hortilux conversion bulb it seems to work good enough though! Evenually I want to go to 3 600w systems as soon as I get the funds:cry:. And with adding another light that should be sooner than I thought  thanks again

pretty much the formula for adding lights is for each bedroom in your house you can have a 1000 watt light, a 3 bedroom house can have 3-1000 watt lights with no worries, you can also switch over to a gas water heater and clothes dryer to free up some power for your grow, but really think if you had a hot tub, those things use a few k worth of power and nobody gets paraniod adding those, 2 lights is totally cool
