Be more concerned with the plant size. Unless there is a health issue the plant will grow as much roots as it deems necessary to support itself. Roots are always growing because the plant it always growing. If that's the space you are limited to using then you may want to switch to flower sooner than later as the plants are going to stretch usually 50 - 150% and get wider and taller, it doesn't look like you have much space left to fill out.

Sure you can flip the light, depending on how you want to finish them. Full size plants or a sog/scrog set up. You want your plants 8 to 18 inches tall. Like Renfro said they will stretch 50-150% after you flip the light.

My plan is to a Scrogg so I have lots of room. Been doing this for years.
Normally plants this size would have much more roots like 5x. So this is why I’m asking. Hate to flip only to find out I should have waited for more roots to grow.
I’ll take a pic of the roots later today.

So what I’m thinking is these plants are still stressed from being transplanted. My rule is never flip stressed plants.
So I would assume once I see normal growth every day I should be ok. One plant has only grown 1” in the last 20 days. Roots are growing fine though.

Quick update, never took a pic but roots have tripled in the last week so Im confident I can now flip the light.
Lesson learned, got rid of the top feed hydroton in my veg room and will keep clones in netpots.
