How much seeds do I start ?

Hi Everyone !

I need 4 plants to flower in a 4x4 scrog . Some places sell seeds by 5 ,6 ,10 x packs ... How much do I need to start femenized seeds ?? Do I go with 10 and pick the 4 best or do I start 5 and that it would be enough ??
How do you guys go when starting fem. seeds ?

It all depends on how good you are at germinating seeds, 5 if you know what you're doing or all 10 if you don't. Good luck

All depends ...do your homework on what supplier you get your seeds from ....there's lots of reviews on different fem seeds .....I always do a few extra personally ...good luck

first off all how many watts u working with? What kind? Cfls? Led? Hps? Mh? Then also u need to consider the room u have to work with, u can divide ur room in two., one for veg and one for flower that way u can pop more seeds at different weeks apart and have a rotation going on., when some plants are veg the others are flowering., take a look at perpetual harvest. Gl

You could go for 4 singles, but obviously you would run the risk of any number of them not germinating. If money isn't an issue and I'm assuming they are your own Meds, why not mix and match a few similar structure strains, get double what you need, you could create a candy shop of your very own with a new flavour for every occasion....

I plan on 90% germination rate when planting beans. Simple answer to your question, start 5. If you don't mind culling, plant 6 and choose the 4 best to flower. Cheers!

Go for a 10 pack, Pop 5-10 and pick the best 4. The way you tell which one is the best is a lot of things, for instance if they are ready for transplant take a look at those roots. Look at the top growth, rub the stems, look at heights etc. Pick the 4 best and go for it. If you pick fems the chances are very very high that you are going to get all females (as long as you go with a legit bank/seed company). All you need to do is germinate and decide which 4 are going to be in your scrog.

If you are great at germinating seeds and you aren't picking something ancient you could get away with a 5 pack but you never know if you wanna grow that strain again and if they don't make it anymore you might be screwed.

Did you even read the post??? lmfao.... your disappointment in what you thought the thread was about is the same I feel for your post lolol. But I did get a good laugh.

Just remember to.....not to stress you out but like mentioned above some may not pop and some could end up males ......like I said do your homework on your supplier ...look at other people's results etc.....but no matter what leave yourself a buffer with a few extra than what you think you need .......if you got limited space to start out with just fill it to what you think the max would be obviously ......good luck Happy growing
