so much depends on your environment, temps, humidity, and what style of grow, and what stage of growing....what works for me is likely not going to work for you

I have a hempy in a 2 litre pop bottle...... water every morning with about 600 ml (20 US fluid ounces) ...my plant is about 3 feet high...in the flower stage

My in ground plants are 4'to 5' x 4' and I give them at least 4gal a day sometimes 5, but temps are high and it's windy everyday. I have a 6' in a 10gal Smartpot and I give it 2gal a day. All depends on your situation- size of plants, temps, wind, pot size, grow medium.

I water everyday with mine. They are all 35" tall give or take, in 5 gallon pots, using Pro Mix soil. I was watering every other day, but I am heading into the last weeks of flowering and they are sucking up tons of water. 1 gallon each everyday.

400watt HPS. Average temp is about 82.
