How much water per plant?

Hey guys in planning on doing about 5 autoflower purple kush plants outdoors. My major concern was watering them. It will be near a source and I was wondering how much I need to haul. Can plants get away with a half gallon a week? Plus rain water?

Depends on temps and amount of rain, but during a hot dry spell......no.

You might consider putting some water absorbing pellets in your outdoor holes. They can help. Good luck.

Definitely not in the High Desert of Southern California! I was watering my ladies 50-100 gallons of water every other day this season lol! Good luck with the autos buddy, check out some of those Auto Ultimates from Dutch Passion, I heard they were amazing! I'm bouta pick up some seeds in a few days and get an outdoor auto grow going in a month

I'm very interested to see how this product would work. Any idea how much water they let off in how much time?

I think the moisture of the surrounding air and soil plays into how they long they last. The good news is each time it rains they refill themselves. Some old school outdoor people have used the innards of diapers too, as they contain a similar moisture absorbent.

You might try mulching around the base of your plants too and creating a 360* depression around them so water drains into the hole if you are in a dry area.

Rotting wood in the hole is another good way to hold moisture and slow release nutrients too. Good luck.

Luckly I'm not in a dry climate so I feel this could work well for me. Any tips for collecting rainwater without being completely obvious about what you're doing.

What exactly is a 360 depression? Like making jokes for the water to drain in around the plant?

A very small pond lined with builders plastic and arranged to appear natural with vegetation will hold rain water. Save digging time by using a natural depression.

A damp spot in a dry stream bed upon some digging can sometimes create a wet spot. Find a shaded spot to slow down evaporation. Empty (collapsible?) containers are light and easy to carry and can be placed in the bush and filled up during a rain storm and then used during a dry spell. Flat green spray paint and dull camo is your friend.
