BE CAREFUL!!! a little goes a long way!

i have to use eye droppers and such! cuz that one teaspoon can make or break it by 3 points!

I'm in soil....

I always use as little as possible. In my particular case (usually not trying to move it more than 1.0 points), I don't think I've ever needed more than 12 drops to a gallon. It's a PITA but I always add a drop or two, test, add a drop or two, test, etc etc until I hit my mark. Going slow helps me keep from going past my mark and needing to adjust back in the other direction. If I go too far in one direction I'm inclined to scrap the whole batch and start over.

I've heard PH UP/DOWN is detrimental to the beneficial mirco-organisms that live in the soil. Don't know if that's factual but in case it's true--that's why I always use as little as possible.

catmandoob, what are the signs of your hydro plants? I don't touch rocks anymore, simply coco and you avoid most problems you'd run into otherwise. Instead of PH up try using Protekt silicon. It will raise the ph with helping protect the root zone from stress, heat and invading yuckies.
