How often do I give my plants nutes?

Just about to go water my plants and I was unsure if I should give them nutes with it. I gave them some last water, but it was a quater strength cos it was there first feed. What do u reckon?

Feed them with nutes three times, then give 'em pH'ed water.

Repeat process.

just a few times a week should work fine...

about 3 weeks into veg. I have a very up to date grow if you wanna have a look.

Water less than you think is a hard habit to break but I've went a week before without watering, as long as the plant isn't drooping you are good.

Breaking the adding too many nutes is another hard habit to break, becuase if this stuff works so good with half the recommended amount think how good it will do if I double the full amount and water 3 times a day, I'll have the world record size plant.

i use nutes every watering and the plants love it. no one can give you a precise answer to whats right and what wrong when it comes to watering. only your plants can let you know if they are over fertilized. its all trial and error. just try what you think and see the results. if you dont want to do it on your whole crop then just pick out a couple and try it on them and water the other ones differently. thats the only way you will figure out whats best for them.

I have made the mistake of adding nutes every watering, watching my plants explode with vigour and then BOOM...on day you start to see intervein yellowing or burn signs. You start to wonder if its MG deficiency or nute burn or lock or a whole lot of other possibilities. This situationis not worth the extra 10% increase in speed of growth. Go with 1/2 strenght nutes especially in Veg. and alternate with with 1/4 strenght. Water only when the containers feel light in weight. (ie water is mostly gone) Water thouroughly, preferably oxygenated (sprayed) until run off come out of the bottoms. Use a micronutrient fertiliser once in a while instead of your regular nutes.

Before bloom FLUSH. In Bloom phase I go 1/2-3/4 strength depending on what other additives (enhancers) are in the mix. I used flavic acid, humic acid, molases or FLora Nectar, Kelp (Nitrozyme), Vertical growth limiter (Bush master) and a bit of Chaching.

All in all going easy on nutes is highly recommended as difficult situations can develop if you over fertilise.

The above is my opinion only. I know experienced growers that say I overdo nutes and I think they are right.
