This is my first time growing in soil and i was wondering how often do you guys water with nutes when growing in soil?
my nutes recommend every 3rd watering but i have been doing every other watering and it has been working well so far. just curious what others are doing.
i have done every other and every watering with a weaker solution. good results either way.
but i prefer like half strength of fox farm line up every other watering. and give a plant more or less depending on what it needs. it may need 2 waterings of plain water before next feed.
there is no set schedule unless you know the strain.
i didnt vote because none of the choices follow my schedule.
I water daily with nutes in the water. I use MiracleGro All Purpose Plant Food (24-8-16) for vegging and
Liquid Bloom Plant Food (3-12-6) for flowering. The MG I use 1 tablespoon/gal. and 1 1/2 tbsp./gal of the
LB.
I know some will shriek in horror that I am over-nuting my grows. I would reply that few have as many grows
and growing experiments as I have. This works for me and is offered as one guys opinion.
If the label says "Every third watering" - I add nutes every watering (at 1/3 strength). Over the "long haul" the plants get the same amount of nutes, without the "Roller Coaster" effect! That's how plants grow in nature.
