how old does a plant have to be to determine the sex

Can anyone tell me how old a plant usually has to be before you can tell if they are male or female?

if you vegg your plant for 4 to 6 week it will begain to show sex
with out forcing it to
but if you forced it buy way of stress it will show maybe a week or 2 earlyer

Usually after the 4th true node, which is 4 - 6 weeks typically as That 5hit mentioned.

your plants are only on node 4 at 4-6 weeks?
4-6 weeks is about right for when preflowers start showing up.

By true nodes I meant after they start alternating.
