How quick can root rot happen?

I have 5 outdoor plants all around 4-5 weeks old planted IN-GROUND at my guerilla spot, yesterday i watered JUST A LITTLE BIT To hold them off until it rained today, and ever since i watered, it has unexpectedly rained off and on WAY more than i thought it was suppose to and has kept the soil saturated and the sky cloudy with no sunlight and now my area is going to have severe storms with heavy rain and high winds for the next day and a half, so my question is how easy can i get root rot and stem rot??? Is three days of saturated soil enough for pythium to set in? Or stem rot? Im using Miracle gro soil (i know, i know) which has a good amount of perlite in it and its mixed with my native clay soil and my plants seem to be doing OKAY with all the rain theyre just slightly droopy, so am i overreacting or running a risk of losing my crop?
