how soon can you top a plant. Kandy Kush

Just wondering, I have just put my 2 kandy kush plants into flowering, only veged it for like two or three weeks. I want to know if I should top it now as space is limited or if I should top when its much taller?

They are only just staring to show sex.

normaly you atleast wait until it have a few set`s of real leaves, IMO around Nod 5-6 tho I like to wait a bit longer

thanks man, Ive just done it. I hate the hassle of having to tie them down, will do it if I need to tho.

Friendly advice when it comes to high stress training you want to perform that in its vegetative state rather doing it in flower. If you top in flowering state especially when you have surpassed the transition of the growth spurt, your chances of herming your plant increases. You stated that your vertical space is limited you may want to consider low stress training (LST) in your future grows. There are some great sticky's concerning that topic in this community.

agree, top em a week or more before you switch to 12/12, if you are in flowering I also agree on the LST, works great, or make a screen/scrog



I once super cropped to fare in to the stretch (fist few weeks of 12/12/flowering) and ended up with a few hermit/male ball`s I did`t notice in time, gave me half the Buds as expected and +100 seeds :S
