So ya.......wtf lights turned on and I open my grow room to see that one of my plants has like split down the fucking middle? So lol I duck taped it back together and tied it up, just to see what this plant does! Anyways what is the prognosis, how likely is it that she is worth keeping?

it'll be fine, just do as good of a job as you can lining up both halves of the cut when you tape it up and it should keep on keepin on.. :D

got any pix joe? i would imagine she's gonna droop as she's just gone through some extreme stress.. could maybe try and mist her some while the lights are on and see if that helps at all with the droopyness..

She will recover. The wilting is normal. This is a common problem. If the buds get to heavy for the branches, they will snap. It is always a good idea to tie them up for extra support... to prevent anymore branches from snapping.

It all comes down to genetics. Some plants have thin stringy branches that are unable to withstand the weight of the buds.

sadly no camera here, but i mean she legit split at the base, like I topped her multiple times and the base split, so 70 percent of damn plant!

I'll be curious to see if you can save her. Never heard of a rip going all the way down the stem!! I think at some point you can't always tape them back together but I would still be trying.

In the future grab some bamboo stakes or grow through some trellis to support your branches as they fatten up.
This is weird tho, like its like the other plants where I dropped something directly on her, anyways operation recovery is not looking good, she looked wilted-we will see!

Zip ties work great along with some tape. I've had several broken branches during flowering due to a massive downpour and after I taped and supported them they did find. They never even wilted. Tend to them fast as possible and should be fine.

I have had them split where a wye is at the base. Popped a 1/4" wide ziptie on each stem above the split wye and used a third tie thru the other two to pull them together to close the split. Then popped one around the split main stem.

Plant was over 4 feet tall. It lived another 40+ days to finish.
