How to cut and replant a tall plant :)

Hey Guys,
I am new to growing and have left two plants on the balcony which now are way too tall.

They havent even started flowering yet and I have never cut them.

My question is, at which point should I cut the main stem and can I use it making more than one clone of it?

Also are their other techniques I can still use on my plant to maximize yield.

And what about the pot is it too small already?
Thanks for any advice

If you want to top it it should have been done long ago. You can still do it if you like. A plant that big in my room would have been in a 7 to 10 gal fabric pot awhile ago.

Is it still possible to replant being this big?

And at which line should I top it would it be beneficial?

Take your clones before you cut the main stem, eh? I would use the top as the first clone and take also the next 2 or 3 nodes until you get to the widest part of the plant. That is where I would cut the main stem down to size. Then give her maybe a week to stabilize then put her to flower. Keep us posted.

Good luck, BigSteve.

Plants will stretch when they aren’t given enough light intensity. This often happens when people try to “grow” cannabis by a sunny window inside.

The opposite happens with lighting that provides enough blue light to the plants. This reduces internode space.

You have a few options. You can remove the lower branches and plant the plant lower into a much larger pot.

You could try and train the top down and promote side branching, making a bush. This can be difficult with a woody main stem that far along.

A third option is to take every single cutting you can from it and propagate those with higher intensity lighting and start fresh from
clones.

Still a fourth option is a combination of repotting deeper and topping.
Cheers!
