How to find a caregiver?

Is there a resource for connecting patients with caregivers?

I'm looking for what every patient is: High quality meds, consistent supply and fair prices.

How do I find this magical combination in RI?

Go to your local RIPAC meeting. As long as your a cardholder, your welcome to patient/caregiver meetings that are held monthly.... There are different locations depending on where you live..... You can meet quality cg's that wont screw you over.... Also, if your a patient, you know you can get meds from other patients as well... You cant BUY THEM.... But you certainly can compensate for them monetarily for the time and effort put forth to aquire the meds....

You cannot compensate anyone other than your 2 caregivers. Period... no exchange of money at all. Says it in the laws. Compensation can only be given to those who are registered to you with state. So if you pay another patient for meds you broke the law.

registered qualifying patient or registered primary caregiver may give marijuana to another registered qualifying patient or registered primary caregiver to whom they are not connected by the department's registration process, provided that no consideration is paid for the marijuana, and that the recipient does not exceed the limits specified in § 21-28.6-4.

This why im shocked on craigslist and all over people are publics advertising there strains an selling them with a price listed... its completely illegal.

What JAYFURY was saying you cant donate for the MEDS themselves BUT make it clear you will donate for the time they spend to bring you the meds etc..

Mass patients are on Providence Craigslist shopping our MMJ. I'm pretty sure any medical marijuana exchange of any kind between somebody from Rhode Island with a card and somebody from Massachusetts with a doctor's certificate is 100% illegal every time.

Choose wisely the individuals you deal with and if an incident occurs, know your rights and DEFEND THEM DON"T WAIVE THEM!

RI also has reciprocity, which means that cardholding patients from any of the other 13 states that have medical marijuana programs shall be protected under the RI law while in Rhode Island. Michigan and Montana are the only other states with this reciprocity.
