How to get buds to be soft rather than dry

Hey guys, I am still a beginner at this. Im in the 4th week for my plants. I want to know how a lot of buds being sold at dispensaries manage to have that softer mushy buds as opposed to dried and flaky buds. Last time I harvested the brown hairs just kept falling/ flaking off once in their mason jars or if I just touched them. But the ones at dispensaries have this super soft and not dry characteristic. Any idea how I can go ahead and do this? I feel the buds look so much better this way as opposed too really dry ones that are hard and flaky.

Put them in an airtight container, put a cup(smaller than the hieght of container)in the middle with dope around it in there with clean wet tissues in the cup,put lid on container. Leave for 1-2 days and it comes out perfect. Store well after that to avoid it drying up again.

above poster is right, you wanna re hydrate them

ive used orange peel to do the same thing Buds has said...and ive also put some of the fresh stem from the plant back in the jar..it rehydrates the lot and keeps the same smell

This might be your best bet sounds very legit and the idea of your ganja not smellin' like oranges but like they're supposed to is a great thing!
