i never seem to get many plants to that shiny leaf point...it may be treading on overnuting, but i wondered if the shiny/waxy leaves were a good indicator? if so, how to get there? N or Ca?

Do you ever worry about it getting old? I have a gallon jug still that's probably a couple years old now that I haven't used in awhile.
Probably not good any more; I try to use it up before it gets rancid. Hard to tell exactly where that threshold is because fish emulsion is gag worthy even when fresh. Just don’t forget to put the cap back on

Ya, I've used some of the liquid organic fertilizers for a couple years and didn't have a problem but I was curious how bad it can really go since it's got phosphoric acid in it. I haven't used any lately just to be safe though.

You want shine and that solid waxy look? Just add copious amounts of nitrogen.

That would do it.

if i get claw i stop there. so, i guess i never get to waxy. i upped my N and now i am getting mag def. back to the epsom salts....can't keep it super green forever geez.

Maybe it can be a pheno thing.
I just did a run with just flora nova bloom, and they were pretty green and slippery looking at 7 weeks.

It was a joke. That would be nitrogen toxicity I'm talking about. You don't want that.
