My buddy in SAC does exactly like you all do, as far as starting veg in early December & putting out in the ground January with supplemental lighting/greenhouse. Here in CO I feel like electric heating the greenhouse would be too expensive :(

Yea why not jus would take alot of room i do that all the time when im done with a mother plant i put her out so yea should b ok mote try and flower try like 18 and 6 on the lighting should b ok

Bleu dream yeild great same with sour d and rhe blue cheese iv ran all three i actually positive my uncle has those strains in is jungle of a garden when i did blue dream last year it was jus a average size plant like 8 ft and it still yielded 4 lb a plant so if you were to do this prolly 10 but its a lota work to maintain plants this big they can pick up problems fast and need alot of bug spray the bigger they get also u gota train them grow bushy not like a Christmas tree takes a lil practice but not hard to do

Cages save the plants when its windy or if we happen to get rain lol and u jus pull branches threw it spreads the plant out and makes it bush also some toping is required early on in vegg and lollipop the bottem half so its not a super tthick and you get better air flow threw and around tour plant also hepls with bugs to keep them trimmed up a foot or two up the plant

Up in the PNW swamp tubes are very popular. They grow truly massive plants. In drier climates they can be mimicked by using peat moss at the bottom of a deep hole lined with plastic. The best part? You never really have to water them. There's a tonne of info on swamp tubes out there.

For sure I grew outdoor last year and had to top/train like crazy to keep them below my 6' fence & I averaged 2 lbs/plant with relatively low yielding strains, purple kush & bubba kush. Bug spray was a bitch with my plants, would def be fun spraying down a 10+ ft. Tree!
What sprayer do you all use?
You just use cages for support, no trellis's or plant stakes?
But Ya dude just keeping up with topping those trees would be pretty time consuming.
I'm hoping to hit 5+ per next year with blue dream, blue cheese and maybe s.d., but I'll be in the mountains here in CO doing greenhouse w/o electricity.. should be fun. Trying to find threads to learn off of with other people who've done greenhouse w/o electricity

Tell him to try a scrog next year set 4 or 5 feet off the ground. It gives
you the same amount of tops with less height. He looks like a skilled grower. I keep training mine under the screen until the stretch starts then I let them go. My scrog set at 4 feet means most of them
will max out around 8 after the stretch. I try to avoid the heavy stretchers.

Rooted by end of march, greenhouse with light by may, big pot, full sun, good dirt, dedication, and an ability to shape the canopy for maximum exposure and as many good tops are allowed. A little luck, although I believe we make our luck to a large degree. You could have a 5 pound plant. Or not.
