How to increase humidity level?? am i doing this right?? help!

Growing Tahoe OG..... in the Veg Stage..

hi All, i need help! im new to growing. i choose the DWC method. the only place i can put my grow tent is in the garage which has poor insulation so its very cold. I have a incline fan going out and coming in. i have using LED grow lights,.to keep the temp up to 70 degree i had to put a tiny person heater into the tent but the humidity leven is from 40-50%. i bought a humidifier but its doesnt seem to work. please help what im doing wrong. im in the veg stage... im already spraying the wall... im putting wet towels... i cannot remove the person tiny heater because at night it can drop to 50 degree... my plants looking droopy...

I wouldn't worry that much about humidity, sounds like you need more heat. I often have around 20% humidity in veg and it's not an issue. Maybe add a few cfls for more heat during the light period, or a heatmat for heat during lights out. A heating pad will use much less electricity and be much more efficient then a small space heater. Higher temps will also hold more humidity in the air. You can also use one of those ceramic heater lightbulb things for reptiles too if you need more heat. I've had some issues with low temps at night too(60f)...I've been adding sealed containers of warm tap water to help...like powerade bottles or a 5 gallon bucket if it can fit.

I definitely wouldn't spray the walls or add wet towels...your just asking for a mold problem later.

I have the same problems here. Get a fine mist humidifier to keep the RH up around 60+ for vegging plants. Fill it with RO water so it doesn't plug up with salts. Heated humidifiers just add to the electric bill. Get a cheap bathroom RH controller to turn your exhaust fan on when needed.
