I am on a 18/6 atm and the lights go out at 1am. on at 7. I use the sun from 1030 - 5 and the rest with 230 watts CFL. Id like to use my new time on 12 12 with it being lights on 1030 AM off 1030 night. but I also Heard someone say I should give it 24 hours of dark first. Can someone help a rook out and give me some advice shes 5 weeks along indica alternatin nodes everywhere no sign sex yet but getting biig for size pot shes in Id like to flower now rather than wait for week 6 when I amaturely think shell prolly show sex naturally and be ready. Whats should I do? Am i loseing bud quality potency by a week or more early flowering stage? thanks in advance

Flip now if space or finish time is going to be a concern, or t-plant now and flip in a week, or flip now, t-plant later.
Some will tell you not to t-plant while flowering, but I do it all the time.
Just turn your lights off at 10:30.

I think the last part of your question is will you lose potency by flipping the lights before they show sex? No you won't, but the plant may take a couple extra days to make the transition to flowering, I wouldn't worry about it. You can give them 24hr dark if you want but either way is fine. If you give them 24 hr dark it may help them transition faster into flowering. I prefer to just let the plant develop as close to natural as possible, I would just flip to 12/12. Maybe transplant first and give them at least 3 days to adjust before the flip.
