How To Mount Carbon Filter?

I have a large carbon filter and was curious as to how other people suspended their filters from the ceiling. I was thinking about drilling a piece of plywood into a ceiling stud, putting hooks into the plywood, and hanging the filter with bungee cord from the hooks. Any suggestions?

Ya might have to use chain over a bungee. Some of those fuckers are DAMN heavy. (Can filters are the worst)

Use a car jack and some board to get er up there if you have one. Just be careful man. I have a friend who hung his Can...left the room for a bit/...then heard a loud CRASH. He said he THOUGHT he put it up there well and it FELT sturdy...but evidently...NOT. Fortunately it only dented it...

Oh...and use that FOIL tape from Home Depot to seal all joints. that shit is bulletproof!

Use plummers tape and if you have a heavy one use more then two straps and put a bunch of screws in it. Plummers tape is a metal band with holes.

What is the purpose of hanging the can filters? I have a can filter connected to an inline fan, I just ducted it to my exhaust. I'm considering a much bigger grow next time and I'm curious what you guys are doin' here.

I gotcha. I wasn't visualizing it properly. I have mine outside the growroom connected to my exhaust fan at the top of the grow room. You are clearly dealing with a larger grow room.

should never push air through a filter. pulling is the best way
