how to promote lower growth

Basically i have this plant and all the growth seems to be coming out of the top. There are some small leaves shooting out the bottoms but i want branches coming out rather than just small leaves. I feel like if i just let it do its thing than im gonna get a really tall plant with no real branches and im gonna suffer with my yeild. I know there are probally pruning techniques that can tackle this sort of problem but this is my first grow and i need some help. Please.

Firstly give it a bigger pot to grow roots, you should use pots that does no pass light or the root would be shy. You can try top it and it will also encourage lower branches grow. You don't really want branches from the very bottom because they will not get much light when you flower them.

What are you growing in right now? You may want to switch to a decent potting soil, with perlite for drainage. She needs to be transplanted into a larger pot, and definately into something that isn't see-through - roots don't like light! What are you feeding her? She looks hungry - you're getting a nitrogen deficiency. You could also add some Superthrive, to help with root growth, and some unsulphered molasses, to feed the good critters in the soil. Lastly, you need more light, and it must be closer to the plant - she's stretched.

Dont cut the fan leaves off ,you could tie it over or super crop to increase the bud sites. put her in a bigger pot soon .
