1 year ago, I put a bag full of coco coir in my warehouse. the mouth of the bag was closed and when I opened the bag at the end of 1 year, the inside of the bag and coco were wet. do I have a chance to clean it from mold, fungus, insects, harmful bacteria? or should I buy a new product? i've never used it before, there was a 10-day-old plant that I uprooted, there are no roots in coco coir

i need detailed information and, unfortunately, I can't achieve anything, because I do everything myself without information. i don't know if just washing with h2o2 and water will get rid of things like insects, mold or fungus, and I'm trying to get detailed information from people who are more experienced than me

how many gallons of h2o2 water do I need to give for 13 gallons of coco

how much h2o2 should I put in water?

if there are insects and flies in the coco, should I use an extra product or will only h2o2 water be enough?

should I wait for the coconut to dry out before I start recycling?(no root)

An answer from your first thread....

"Honestly I'm pretty unscientific about it. I buy 35% H2O2 by the gallon, so will water it down to around 3% then pour enough in to disburse throughout the medium. I'll let it sit for a while and do it's job (sometimes overnight), then flush the media with tap water. Once it's flushed I'll do a precharge of nutes around 350ppm."

An old post about h202 for root rot....

peroxide is good for root rot, if you're using 3% from the grocery store, start off at 25 ml per gallon, then drop by 5 each time till you get down to 12. you can give them 12 ml per gallon every time, without damaging the roots, and it'll keep your pots sterile. actually, once your sure the roots are good, you can start giving them 12 every other time.
i'm not sure it's roots though. i think you just over fed it badly. i'd run plain water through them the next couple of times you water, and get a little run off each time. then start feeding at 1/4 strength, every other watering. when you water in between, get a little run off, not a huge amount, but at least a quart or two

Uhm, does it really make more sense to buy stuff that cleans infested coco rather than buying clean coco?
Let's think about this for a minute...
It's funny when u put it like that but yeah u do save a ton of money when u reuse soil especially if u go thru alot. H2o2 is super cheap. But it depends what bugs are in there. Reused soil/coco is way better then new imo especially using organic nutes with tons of microbes. Sometimes it is better to just start fresh but it cost. I wouldn't start fresh just for some gnats.
