How to setup 2 tents

So I am working on setting up another 2x4x6 tent in my space. My question is how do you all have it setup? 1 Veg tent and 1 flower tent? Both full cycle tents? Should I have one separate tent for autos and one for photos? All opinions welcome. Thank you!

I have a flower tent constantly on a 12&12 then I have a Veg and Auto tent that is set for 18&6 or 20&4.
Im probably going to have to swap tents. No room in the flower tent with 3 Weeks left on the closet one and the photo girl in the middle is almost ready to flip. the other 3 are autos, I grow DWC.

Photos and autos will have different photoperiods (light schedules) all the way from seed to harvest so it's not a good idea to mix them in the same tent. If you're planning on growing both autos and photos then definitely separate them tent by tent.

If you're set on using two tents of equal size I think you'll see best yield per area if you go full cycle in both tents. Vegging plants will need less area than flowering plants. If you'd fill a tent with plants in veg, they all wouldn't fit in your flowering tent later on.
I'd recommend either 1 veg tent and 2 flower tents or 2 tents where each tent is full cycle from veg to harvest.

So my situation is....when I started I ordered one tent and it kept getting delayed so I got a refund and ordered another tent. The original one arrived a few weeks later. So I ended up with two tents the same size. Might as well utilize both right? For the time being I think I’ll run autos in one and photos in the other. Full cycle in both.

Why not use one as a veg tent and one as a flower tent? You can always toss an auto or 2 in the veg tent. But why grow auto's at all?

Is it ok to have a flowering plant in the same tent as a plant still in Veg? Honestly I want to do autos to see how they grow. Study, research, experience, etc. Never grown them before so just want to see how they do. Found a decent deal on some seeds so figured I’d try them out.

Yes you can run auto's in a veg tent with plants that are vegging. It doesn't matter if it's flowering.

Make it a perpetual grow. One tent for veg, the other for flower. Try and get 8 to 9 week flowering plants. So you can veg for 4 weeks, clones for 4 weeks and flower for 8 to 9 weeks.

So you start off in with veg from seeds. Wait till they are nice and big. Take clones, then put the plants in flower. Now you have 8 to 9 weeks to wait. So put the new clones in your veg tent and keep them alive for 3 to 4 weeks until nicely rooted. Then you put them in veg for 4 to 5 weeks and now your flowers are done.

Take clones and repeat. You now have a perpetual garden that will give you a decent yield every 2 months :eyesmoke:

This sounds great. I have zero experience with clones or cloning. I was trying to have a mix of photos and autos that keep my stash full. If I’m able to grow the autos that is lol. My autos from North Atlantic get here tomorrow and the other tent is getting setup. I have a photo that’s at the end of Week 3 flower in my first tent.

Wouldn't you want different growing conditions for an auto in flower than vegging photo plants? Stronger light and distances from canopy and humidity?

Distance from the light can be adjusted by raising plants to different levels. You can veg at 18/6, 20/4, or 24/7. All of which an auto can be grown under. You can veg plants at the same humidity levels you flower at. I don't even worry about humidity unless it gets high late flower and increases the chance for mold. Vegging plants will do just fine in a wide range of humidity.

If I decide to mix in the tent, I’m think about one photo with 2 autos. Light is going to be QB LED 220W.

With your tents being the same size. I would full cycle each tent. If you had a big and small tent I’d say veg one flower the other. That’s what I’m doing.
Veg is 5sq/ft
Flower is 9sqft.
