How to tell if a picture is fake or photoshopped?

they look like professional photographs you would see in a magazine, and with professional photography the pictures are usually edited in photoshop.

i mean i run my pics through photoshop just to crop them. they just look like the pice of paper has been inserted with software. it looks too clean and the edges just ren't right. plus the shadows that have been layed across the paper looks funny.

I second the shadows, and the color of the paper doesn't look the same as the color of the plant and everything else in the room.

I'm a graphic design major *did three and half years and dropped out though*, so I can be somewhat source-able

photoshop get's a pretty bad rap though with people who aren't familiar with it. most people think photoshop and they think of people editing out their fat, covering acne, making there eyes look better (which does happen). but it's a still a great professional tool that photographers (and other people that work in a creative industry) use to make their images more appealing. so it's not a bad thing.

Yea, I'm not trying to give it a bad wrap. I know it has many useful purposes. Just wanted to know about those specific pics.

not a master. photoshop has so many "one click" features to match up colors and such. And I know most of them aren't really one click, you know what I mean.

I'm not saying the plants aren't his I'm just saying those pics have been ran thru PhotoShop and edited.
