How to tell if its trichomes or mold??

Look at your trichs under a scope so you know what they look like for comparison. Powdery mildew looks nothing like trichomes under a scope. For bud rot, again, use a scope and look at your buds for anything "fuzzy"...you should never see any fine hairs or fuzz on a bud under a scope.

First off welcome to Riu and I'm not sure that if I would listen to someone who told me to smoke mold even though I believe they are correct about no mold on plant but because I can not tell you one way or another I would follow the advice of @Rurumo and no offense to anyone as always thank you for your time and the best wishes to you and your family and friends be
