How to treat root rot?

After days of not figuring out why my plant has been drooping (pH is good, nutes are good, Temps are good, etc) I figured out my issue was some root rot. Fortunately I don't think I have it too bad.

I went to my local hydro store to get some hydroguard but no one in my area seems to have any. How else can I treat the root rot?

This stuff is something like a million or 10 million times more concentrated than hydroguard. Hydroguard is legit a 25$ bottle of water.


Ive been using this. I like it but its pricey.

Thanks! How much of the first one you listed should I use per 4 gallon reservoir? Does it need to be diluted?

You can use as much as you want you really cant over do it with the beneficial bacteria but there are instructions on the bottle. I would guess 1ml/l just like hydroguard even though its a billion times more concentrated. Once that bacteria gets in your medium its going to multiply thousands more times regardless of how much you put in.

I was turned onto this product specifically for root rot many years ago.

You can just use regular microbes and set them loose to battle the root rot. Depending on your setup is how you might consider applying it. I do ebb and flo so after a feeding i'll take some res water and add some microbes to it and top feed my plants so it sets on the roots till the next feeding and slowly they get washed away. Better yet is when lights go out and the mix sits on the roots for 12 hours and then slowly gets washed away. I'll do this once a week if i am actually having problems or every now and again if I just want to buff up my roots.
