How would this air purifier / carbon filter work in my set-up?

I have a mylar grow tent that I keep open in a 3rd bedroom. 72 degrees no lights, 85 degrees lights. Nothing else. I keep it open for heat purposes and the fan on during lights. For the smell I was looking at this:

Looked at it in person and it says small/medium room (check) and it has a carbon filter. Will this work for the smell? I was going to put it right inside the tent and have it on during lights on. Also, I was going to have a bucket of ona gel in the room. Thoughts?

ps - I have read all 'smell' stickies. Read everything and all back and forth discussions about the ona gel and have yet to see a filter like this discussed. So ANY thoughts would be appreciated. 10 days since seed, and the little buggers smell lol

i think its a good idea but u might wanna still use a carbon filter one to take air out of the room
but i think that will make controlling the smell easier

I don't want the smell out of the room. I live alone and in an apartment and I basically want to just keep the smell in the room and make sure it doesn't seep into the rest of the house for when company comes. (the room is never used) Also, that air purifier has a carbon filter also.

Apartment? Umm you need quality air filtration *now*... not this junk.

^ yea? It's a 3 bedroom. Their basically townhouses, with 12 attached together in the same U shape. I am attached to 2 apartments and my grow room is smack in the middle of my apartment. Why wouldn't something like that, which has a carbon filter, work? I'm just curious, if I need it I need it and can buy a better system this paycheck (friday). I'm currently 11 days since they broke soil.

Just get a cheap carbon filter/inline fan combo. In the uk, you can get a fan, bit of ducting and a filter for £50

You could also close up the tent then aswell which would help keep it on the downlow.
