how close is it? A 400should be around 12-15 feet away. Your plants are leaning trying to get light it looks. Move it to about 15 inches and go from there. I had a similiar setup in my closet before I went to basement growing. Watch out for high temps. Heat can cause droop too. Looks good though.

thanks man i honestly just got them at my place and before they came here they were in my friends basement set up... but they were like that before i got them so im hopeing they dont die! i might go buy a air cooled reflector so temps lower, my average temp is between 78-84

the best advice i can give you is for you to read as much as you can and just take what make sense to you and use that. just like each plant grows differently so does each grower. what works for me might not work for you and so on. so read reread and then use only what makes the most sense to you.

LMAO! God I hope you meant inches, not feet.

Your plants are stretching for the light source, you need to move it closer. A simple fix would be maybe $40 in CFL bulbs, cheaper than a hood even though the hood is a better idea in the long run. You also need to install a fan for good air circulation. You don't want to blow them around to the point of damaging them, but a good breeze will strengthen the stems. When you can you'll want to bury that stretch beneath the cotlydon.

they almost over top over when they are small seedlings just let them be they will grow up big and strong. before going and moving you light closer. i would gradually move it closer as not to burn them witch can happen in minutes with seedlings. so just take your time and remember they are not magic beens there is nothing that you can do to speed up the 100 days it takes to harvest. and i mean nothing. 24 hours of light standing on one leg doing the go grow dance. it just takes time and patience. and remember keep reading you will learn more with a little trial and error also.i am wondering why you went with dirt over hydro?

went with dirt because my techer told me its much easier to lern this way first! he told me you must be more exact when it comes to dealing with hydroponics
