HPS and MH inquiry

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have a quick question about HPS bulbs vs Metal Halide bulbs during Vegetation.

Can I get expect a vigorous healthy plant with a great yield only using HPS? OR...Is it critical to obtain a MH bulb and then later switch to HPS during bloom?

I'm really hoping you're all going to tell me that HPS will work great for both veg and bloom....

I'm using CFL now and my next grow I'm without a doubt switching. I find it too much trouble trying to situate CFL lights all over the place. I'd rather have 1 central light that kicks out lots of lumens.

I'm looking at a 400 watt HPS ballast and an air cooled reflector for my grow tent (4' long X 2' wide X 5' high).

What do ya think?

HPS will work for both veg and flowering just fine. I bought a MH conversion bulb for my HPS ballast for 58 bucks or something. Lets me run the MH for veg and HPS for flowering. If you need to choose one go with HPS though. You will definately notice a difference when you switch over from CFL!
